(why)I didn't know what to do and I felt that the deadline was getting closer so I just went on Instagram and I started to look at some pictures. I came across one that looked nice so I decided to try and draw it. It looked like a really good image and to me, it resembled the power of the government in one picture.

(how)I created the piece by briefly planning out how I would put it on my canvas. I also needed to learn some stuff about acrylic paint because this was my first time painting with acrylic. I feel that once I got a hang of it I just kept painting and I finished my work on time.

I did my pumpkin to show lots of value. I hadn't drawn a vegetable or a fruit before so I knew that I had to do one of the two and I chose a pumpkin for the colors. I liked the way light would hit it and my it light yellow and how the shadows would look a bit reddish.

First, I put down my light colors and I planned out how I was going to add my shadows. Once I had an idea of where everything would go I laid my first layer of yellow. After all my layers were downIi blended it all well.

1. What was your inspiration? why?

i was inspired by the expression money doesn't grow on trees. Since i was doing something surrealistic i decided to draw money trees. the inspiration for drawing the pyramid at the end was when i was looking at the back of the dollar bill. i decided to use up that empty space and fill it up.

2 How did you create it?

the first step in creating my painting was the background i had to decide what color i wanted the back to be and i settled with a blue sky. i knew that i had to use cool colors so most of the colors on the painting are kinda dark. finally i sketched my work and i painted it.

Money Trees

what inspired me to do this image was the mood I was in the day. I didn't feel comfortable the first day of the semester. That
